Default 98 honda accord sometimes no start

So my 98 honda accord will run great for a while then when I try starting after sitting for the night it will crank but not start. I have spark and air but when I pull the gas line I dont see any gas. In response to this I replaced the master fuel relay. Still didnt start. Then magically after a few beers I jumped in and bang it started.. I shut it down and started it up several times with no issue. This morning my girl jumped in to go to school and it wouldnt start again. This is my girls car and need it reliable to get her to and from school. What am I missing? I know coils sometimes are slow blows but dont know how to check for a coil problem. Do fuel pumps go bad slowly? When I put my ear to the gas tank I can hear the pump buzz when the key i clicked to the first position.

Take the air intake hose off of the throttle body and spray a touch of starting fluid in the throttle body while your helper cranks the engine and holds the throttle about halfway open. Does the engine try to start?
