My nephew installed a new radio in his 98 and burned out the drivers multiplexer. I replaced that and now the dashlights are back on but now the keyless entry doesn't work. Tried the reprogramming procedure but it didn't do anything. Haven't tried the intermittent wiper reset yet.

Does anyone have any idea? Is the new multiplexor not compatible with the old key fobs?

There was one wire on the back of the fuse panel that was able to fit in different plugs. It's a brown connector with a thick white wire. I'm not sure if this could be the cause.
