Recently my 99 Accord EX beeps 3 times after I start it. Anyone know what this is about?

 

unless im mistaken that means maintenance required, mine started doing that when i had iacv trouble, could be a coincidence though..

 

I had a 1998 & it didn't do that. Maint-Reqd. was just a lamp in the cluster. No beeping. Same for the check-engine light which is different from the maint-reqd. light.

Got an aftermarket alarm system?

 

I have the original alarm on it. The maintenance required light and check engine light is on but that has been on for awhile. The beeping just started last week. It's not driving any different that I can tell either

 

It may have to do with the seat belt reminder, key-in, or lights-on warning. May or may not have a malfunction in the warning system.

Check if the seat belt reminder light is also flashing (as long as the bulb is not burnt out) with the beeping.
