Default 99 Accord LX Adding Electric Trunk Release

I have a 99 Accord LX with a genuine Honda alarm system and want to add the electric trunk release. I got a solenoid and similar model year EX electric trunk release from a salvage yard but noticed it has 5 wires. My LX only has 3 wires (two for the trunk light, orange/silver and black/silver (ground?), and the extra single blue terminal tucked in the trunk link that connects to the Honda add-on 08E49-S84-100H or 08E49-S84-101H electric trunk release, which I've found Honda apparently has discontinued and I've been unable to find anywhere. Does someone have a wiring schematic to show which wires on the new trunk release harness would correspond to the 3 wires on my existing LX harness? The EX release's 5 wire colors are:
1. White with red stripe/brown
2. Orange/silver
3. Blue/silver
4. Black/brown
5. Black/silver
Also, the white with red stripe/brown and black/brown are slightly larger than the other 3 wires, some I'm thinking those might be the main leads. Not sure what the other 2 wires would be for. I've looked at a few EX wiring diagrams but can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance.

For the EX wire harness, the wire numbering is done by looking at the back of the connector. Can you match the wire colors with the number below? It is hard to tell exactly with your picture.

Top row: 1, release tab, 2
Bottom row: 3,4,no wire, 6.

Another way to look at the wire below. The plastic connector release is between pins 1 and 2. 3 and 4 are below wire 1. The empty socket and wire 6 are below 2.

Based on the description you currently have, you'll need to get a normally open 4-pin relay for the trunk opener, which would have been included with the Honda add-on 08E49-S84-100H electric trunk release kit.

The 12 volt normally-open 4-pin relay should be Mitsuba # 727 RC-2201 or Honda part # 39797-SE0-004. You would plug the relay into the empty socket as shown in the attached photo:

The EX trunk opener wiring is slightly different than the add-on LX trunk opener wiring in regards to the Blu/Grn wire.

The EX orange wire can be tied into the LX orange wire (in your other photo).
The EX black ground wires can be ties into the LX black ground wire which goes to Ground G601 (in your other photo).

With the set-up you have, the Blu/Grn wire for the EX harness connector is not used. EX security system in incorporated in the Multiplex Control System; the Blu/Grn wire from that harness goes to the multiplex control system on an EX.

The Wht/Red wire for the EX should be connected to the LX extra single blue/grn terminal tucked in the trunk link that connects to the Honda add-on 08E49-S84-100H. On the LX, the Blu/Grn wire comes from the trunk opener relay, and provides (+) to the trunk lid open actuator when activated.
