99 auto to manual

Default 99 auto to manual

i have searched and cant find the info i need. does any 1 know if any of the manual tranny parts(shifter,cables,pedal,mastercylinder) from a 96 accord will work on a 99. tired of changeing these autos and want to convert. any help is appreciated

You probably will need parts from a 98-02 accord. You will need a bit more than what you listed, like the PCM, axles, the MT mount and bracket. There are other items that I can't remember off the top of my head. Search around for manual transmission swaps on the forum, because the specifics have been listed. You can also look up the OEM part numbers to compare between your car and the donor car on a site like hondapartsnow.com. The part numbers will probably be different.

The easiest way to do a swap is to find a wrecked 98-02 MT accord. Maybe find a U-Pull-It place and get the necessary parts from that car.

Cheapest and easiest way is to trade cars. This is a job for a masochist only.

thanks...i was just curious cause i have 2 96 accords and didnt know what was interchangeable. also cant trade due to bad tranny and im not gonna put another auto in it
