99 LX door lock problem
I'm having a problem with the passenger-side door lock on my 1999 Honda Accord LX. Sometimes, the passenger side from lock will not lock and unlock with the switch or the key fob on my aftermarket keyless entry remote.
Quite often the passenger lock will work fine for a few cycles, then it will stop. When it stops working, it can still be moved up and down by hand, but not with the switch or key fob. Often, it will work for 3 or 4 "lock-unlock" cycles, and then stop. Other times, it won't work at all, and other times, it might work for 8 cycles before stopping.
The driver side and the rear locks work fine.
Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem, on my 1996 Accord EXL, except its the rear left passenger door. The part u need is an Actuawaiter, advise not to buy used as you have to buy the whole door from the junkyard, well at least in my area. The new part is $95.00 roughly not including labor. But keep in mind if Honda does the install, you will get 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty.
Mine makes a real loud noise when it doesn't work right.
Have a great day !

RE: 99 LX door lock problem
Michael,
My dealer quoted me about $70 for the part.
I actually ordered it from hondaacuraworld.com for $34. It's not on the website, but I called them on the phone and they got me set up. I've bought a lot of Honda factory accessories from them and they've had great service. It should be here this week and I've heard that it's a pretty easy install.

Well I got mine today from the dealer for $80.00, plus I knowing that the part will last me 12 months or 12,000 since that is the dealer's warranty. I am trying to find instructions on to install it myself.
The other bad news today the fan motor went out no part ava, had to order it won't get my car back till Tuesday.
Love my Accord.
