Default ABS Light

Hello. I am new to the Forum. My fiance has a 96 Honda Accord EX . It has about 130,000 miles on the car. She just recently had the brakes, clutch, timing belt, tires, water pump, plugs and wires, and fluids replaced. Before she had that done, the ABS light was on. We have hooked a ACTRON pocketscan plus up to the car, with no codes coming back. When the brakes were done, the lines were checked, and no leaks, cracks or tears. I was hoping to get a code from the reader, but no luck. Also, sometimes when the car is cold and you start it up, the ABS light will be off. You can hear what would appear to be the ABS module making noise, cut out, and then the ABS light comes on. Any suggestions.. Start replacing modules?
Any help would be appreciated.

Jumper the SCS connector (the old-school way to read codes) & look for the ABS lamp flashing. It goes like this...
Long flash & long pause - that's not part of the code yet.

short flashes - 1st digit of 1st code
short pause
short flashes - 2nd digit of 1st code

long pause

short flashes - 1st digit of 2nd code
short pause
short flashes - 2nd digit of 2nd code
etc...
