Thank you for posting these codes. My ABS light comes on shortly after starting the engine (~30 seconds) , I checked the code and its 1, which according to the list means ABS PUMP MOTOR OVER-RUN...what does this mean, how is it fixed?... thanks.

Ususally caused by air in the system. Is the abs fluid low? You can try bleeding the system.

There is a TSB to remove and tighten modulator body plugs (9) that leak. PM your email address if you need it. If you have evidence of leakage, this may be the problem. Also, the accumulator/modulator oring seal will leak and cause this problem.

good luck

Thanks TexasHonda/Chiovnidca,

I don't see any evidence of leakage, everything is nice an dry around the ABS reservior / modulator also the resrvior itself is full.

I tried to follow the instruction to bleed the ABS (loosened the bleed valve 1/4 turn) turn the engine on and nothing came out. so does this say the pump is dead(fuses were all O.K.)

I don't know, almost ready to throw in the towel and take the car to the dealer
for the SRS (code 5-2) and the ABS (code 1). I really would like to have these two safety features operating.

The ABS pump should run for 40 secs before shutting down. Is this happening? If not, check all fuses and relays that power the ABS. If pump runs, then pump may have failed. You can find used modulators for <$100 on car-part.com near your zip code.

Is the fluid reservoir full? If no leaks, it should be.

I can't help w/ SRS. I did check the 94-97 Accord electronic manual and it does not identify any SRS codes, only diagnostics w/ a voltmeter.

good luck
