Question ABS problem

i have a 1997 honda accord SE and every time i start the car the abs unit makes a buzzing noise for about a minute then the abs light turns on, i ran the codes and got 1-3 wich means a high pressure leak and 1-8 which is the accumulator pressure. Can i replace the accumulator itself or does it sound like any thing else? if so how much would that cost and can i do it myself

The first thing you should do is try bleeding the unit a couple times.
The problem with that unit, is they put the check valve at the bottom of the unit where all the trash/debris gathers.

The easy way is to open the ABS fuse box, pull the relay, then you can jumper the relay connection to run up pressure in the pump while you open the bleeder screw and watch the fluid level in the reservoir. I would put a small plastic tubing over the bleed screw nipple and dump the fluid into an empty oil bottle.

NOTE: Brake Fluid will EAT paint....be sure to clean up any spilled fluid with brake clean spray
