Your car is an I4.

Does any temperature air blow out of the vents? Does it work on all speeds?

Does your radio look like the picture below?

You can try to find the trouble code on your heater control. Here is the information.

Turn ignition switch to II position.
Turn the fan switch to off and the recirculation switch to Recirculate (recirculation indicator comes on).
Press and hold the recirculation control switch to Fresh (recirculation switch goes off). Continue to hold the switch untl the recirculation indicator comes on for 2 seconds, then it will blink the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) to indicate a faulty component.

Let us know what you find.

The recirculation light will flash the code after it comes on for two seconds. I'm not sure if you have to hold the recirculate button the whole time or not. Try it both ways.

That's manual climate control, not auto-climate-control. I don't think that system can store error codes.

Check to see whether the water valve is operating...

1) Open the hood, follow the heater hoses to the firewall. One of them should have a cable-operated valve.

2) Get a helper to sit in the car. Turn the key ON - not necessary to actually start the engine. Turn the temperature **** back & forth - hot & cold.

3) You should see the cable moving on that valve. Let us know before we go farther with instructions.

After that bulb lights up for two seconds and turns off it would start blinking. One blink = code 1, etc.
