Accident, what to do when I get car back?
Does the vibration only start when you turn on the A/C? Sorry, I might have missed that if you already said...if so, would have to be the compressor, right? I'm w/ the other guy, look at the belt while it's running, see if you see any bent pully's.
The pulleys don't appear bent and the belt looks to be fine. When the fan turns on it seems to vibrate a lot harder and when the fan is off it hardly vibrates.
Adjuster told me that New York State is exempt from diminished value and the only state that has it is Georgia. Is this true?

Pull the fan in & out from its electric motor. Excessive end-to-end play on the motor shaft? Fan blades hitting the shroud if you spin it while pulling it one way or the other?
Rig up direct wires from battery to fan motor. That way you can evaluate the fan balance without the engine running, or anything else going on at the same time.
Georgia is the only state that REQUIRES loss of value by law on every claim presented. They have a formula most companies use to calculate the loss. Most other states are open and there has been no precident set. It likly will be your duty to prove the loss to the insurance company, but as mentioned before, that can be hard.
Don't listen to the guy saying to get an attorney. Lawyers are for people who can't think for themselves. Insurance companies handle all claims the same with or without lawyers. Seriously, people think we all the sudden change our attitude and say, "oh, I'm sorry, let me pay for that now". Most lawyers won't deal with property damage anyway, b/c insurance companies have very strick rules they play by and the lawyers don't know the property damage side, only the injury side. Not to mention even if the lawyer did help mediate, you'll owe him 1/3 of the settlement for his time. Just settled a claim yesterday for about 7 grand for soft tissue injury, lawyer gets 1/3, bills are paid, and the guy ends up w/ $300 less than I offered him on the first meeting. But what do I know...
Good luck w/ your car.
