This is a description of the speedometer:
The speedometer is controlled by the power supply circuit/controller area network controller built-into the gauge control module. The power supply
circuit/controller area network controller receives vehicle speed information from the ECM/PCM through the fast controller area network transceiver
via the MICU. The ECM/PCM receives vehicle speed information from sensors within the transmission.

Based on the circuit diagrams, it looks like on both the A/T and M/T housings, there is an Output Shaft (Countershaft) Speed Sensor that has a 3-P Black connector with the following wires (Yel/Blu, Blk/Blu, and Brn/Yel). If you have not already, find the Output Shaft Speed Sensor on the M/T housing and plug the 3-P Black connector in.

For the back-up (reverse) light wiring on the M/T, you need something like this gray connector to plug into the switch on the transmission. A/T doesn't have that.

Please please give a list of everything needed to successfully do a auto to manual swap with a donor car. I have a 03 Accord ex coupe with the 2.4 a/t I'm trying to swap the manual transmission out of the 04 accord. I will be buying the parts from the donor car so in need of a detailed list

@Smokinsmarties, don't expect a reply, the user you were responding to hasn't logged into the site in nearly nine years.

So I had to swap my motor on my 04 accord, then when swap day came, automatic transmission took a **** also. The motor i was buying (03) had a manual transmission and most of the parts for a proper swap and had to swap good with bad parts to get it running smooth. Also a few fast and very not good looking modifications for the clutch and master to be sturdy... along with the wiring harness that runs through that very same location in the firewall. Spindles, axles and so on and so on. Anyways, neutral safety i decided to remove the relay and make a wire loop to bypass that (in the future I will run it to the clutch pedal) and I also had to unclip the 2 wire connector in the ignition switch to override my security. Because I haven't tried the manual ecm after my buddy and I figured out the neutral safety relay and the security issue with starting the car. So, if you haven't figured out the neutral safety switch issue, I can show you the relay location and connectors I used.
