Default accord 1995 - climate control problem.

Hi, since a year or more, the climate control of my accord coupe ex 95 started working funny. First the temperature raises up and then the commands doesnt respond anymore.
I tryed to find a replacement on ebay.com but never find the piece.
I donīt know what to do, all the solutions I browsed are for a different model.

I am sharing some pictures because the unit it is not very common.

Any help it is really appreciated.

Thanks,

Martin

Do you hear clicking/popping sounds from under the dash? The air mix motors are known weak points, and when defective it is difficult to set air temp. Easy job on most cars to replace air mix motor.

I could not find ATC controls in any 4-cyl Honda shop manuals I had for years 1995. Is this perhaps a V6 engine?

good luck

Thanks texas honda for your answer.
I do hear clicking/popping sounds from under the dash. Where do I find the air mix motors?
The car is 2.2 vtec, but the ATC control I dont know why it is the same to an accord k7 2.7 v6. In Uruguay (where I live) some of them are with ATC controls.

Use the clicking/popping sound to locate the motor/s. I don't have a manual w/ the air mix motor/s (may be two if driver/pax temps can be set differently).

I checked Majestic Honda online parts for ATC on V6 and 4-cyl and found no ATC controls. Must be Uraguay special.

good luck

Thanks Texas,
Its a rare part. The part #is 79600-sv4-c42 - denshingiken (brand).
I have been searching in ebay for the last year an a half and never found one.

I will disconnect the air mix motors and check again the module.

Thanks!!!

When I had this problem on MDX, I locked (jammed the link bar against nearby part) the air mix door in cold position for max cooling until I got a replacement.

If you are handy, you may be able to repair the air mix motor. See attached video link. Lexus motor is very simiar to Honda. I tried but dropped and lost one tiny gear, and had to buy a new part.

good luck
