Default Accord 2004 Central Locking does not disengage!

Hi,

I woke up this morning to find I could not get into my car! I have tried using both remote keys and non of the locks open. I hear a clicking sound as if the locks are trying top open.

The driver's door opens using the key - the alarm did not sound when I did this. I tried to start the car - the key turns and a few lights come on the dashboard but the car does not start. The engine does not even turn.

I have checked the battery connections and they seem like they are ok.

I'm clueless as to what the issue could be. I suspect the car is not starting because the immobiliser is not disengaging.

Any help will be much appreciated. Car details are below in my signature.

Sounds like you battery is dead.

If you have a volt meter, check the voltage across the battery terminals.

Ok...so I took the battery out and charged it. I put the battery back in and reconnected it following the instructions in the owners manual. Now the alarm continues to sound and does not reset!

I believe I have ultrasonic sensors in the car - the owners manual states that the alarm can only be reset by unlocking the driver's door with the remote key. I have tried this many times and it does not work.

I have made sure that all doors are locked, the bonet and boot are also shut and still the alarm does not reset.

Can anyone help?
