95 2.0ls Central locking not staying locked.
I have a 95 2.0i ls, when i lock the doors at the drivers door with the key all the doors lock but imediatley unlock. To keep the doors locked i have to open the drivers rear push the button down on the drivers door then shut the drivers rear, but i have noticed that if i give the drivers door a thump just above the handle the doors unlock. Does anybody have any ideas why this is happening and maybe how to fix without costing a fortune. The alarm deactivates when the doors unlock also so if someone was to notice this it would be very easy for the car to be stolen or contents raided. I dont have a remote so cant test with that.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Immediately unlocking is the way it's supposed to behave if you try to lock the doors while the driver's door is actually open. So something in the latch "thinks" the drivers door is open. My guess is you'll have to remove the inner panel from the door & have a look around. Other than being on the opposite side, I don't really know how much is different in Scotland.
A possible work-around is to hold the door-lever while you lock the doors. That's how I always locked up my 95 Integra. Standing with the door open, pull the inside lever that you would use to open the door. While holding that lever, press the lock button inside the door. Make sure you don't leave your key inside...
