Exclamation Accord Engine Swap

Hey guys I have a 1995 Honda Accord V6, I would like to swap the ****ty 170 hp V6 for a better engine. I was looking at a J32A2 or a H22 Vtec. Im new to the swap stuff but I would like to know whats better for me. Any comment helps, Thanks!

The front of the V6 accord is bigger than the 4cylinder 95-97 accords to accommodate the larger V6 engine.

That will complicate just mounting the H22 engine in your engine bay, where you would likely have to fabricate your own mounts. You may run into the same problem with J32a2 engine.

Then you would have to consider the what axles could work, wiring, etc. To me it sounds like a nightmare.

If you want an H22 in an accord, get a 90-93 accord and put the H22 in that. It is almost a direct swap. The 94-97 4-cylinder accords are just a little bit more complicated to do an H22 swap.

Another option is to buy an H22 prelude or a 98-02 V6 accord.
