Ran over a huge metal grate on the highway near Tucson today. Limped to the side of the road. Had good body damage. Went to a local garage and have no mechanical damage. I'm guessing the entire front bumper will have to be replaced and then if only primed painted black. Also may need a bit of front left quarter panel repair as it's slightly bowed out.

I see that the actual bumpers are not that expensive, we have a $1000 deductible (since we've gone over 20 years with no accidents and it lowers the premium). How much do you estimate the fix will cost? I'd rather not file a claim so I'd love to see it come in close to our deductible.

Any estimates or ideas? Sorry if this isn't on the right forum page.

My guess is that a front bumper would be around $500 painted and installed.
