Accord p1167 obd code
Hello everyone,
i have a 4cyl 99 accord lx with about 110k miles on it. Other than keeping to the recommended maint. schedules the car is pretty much stock.
Yesterday the light came on and the OBD is giving me a p1167 code.
Doing some googling it looks like there are some descrepencies but the general consensus is that i need Honda O2 sensors and should avoid third party sensors. How would you guys about diagnosing this problem - should i check the wires or even try testing the sensor itself? Is it just as likely to be a wiring or fuse problem?
any advice would be most appreciated

I would always want to test before throwing parts at an issue.
Honda vs aftermarket....Honda doesn't actually make many of the parts they use....find the OE source, I think Denso for the O2 - FOLKS, help my memory here.

thank you poorman
i am pretty sure it is the o2 sensor - but one other issue i have noticed is that the car seems like it wants to stall when idling in park. that could be more signs of an o2 sensor issue, right?

Could be? I've learned over the years, follow the codes FIRST. After that and they are gone, double check the normal stuff (tune up, filters, ect). Usually by that time it will be resolved.....just my opinion.
