Default accord vs mirage

hi guys i,m new in here. obviosly you guys know A lot more about hondas than me. my ride it's a 95 accord ex with a jdm f22b1 that i just got in . i lowered with a skunk 2 shocks for a civic . i got in an a stage 2 clutch kit , cold air intake. i,m wonder if any of you can tell me why the 95 mitsubishi mirage ls 1.8l 4g93 that i got for my wife it's a lot faster than my baby. i took down a mustang with thatmirage.what can i do to get my baby better but i don,t want to go high score like with turbos or in side the engine. the mirage it's all stock by the way.

thanks WheelBrokerAngfor the help. and no i'm not runnigon 3 cyl. and if my driving is wrong should be wrong with both cars. no look the only difference that i found is the rpm goes up faster with less pressure on the pedal in the mirage and my accord when i press the pedal it take longer to increase the rpm . it go slow from 1000 to 3000 then from 3000 up it go faster. not slow like some thing is really bad but slower than the mirage. dont get me wrong it run perfect but i cant belive that a stock 1.8 mirage can get a 2.2l accord.

im most likely wrong here, but I thought that vtec was programmed to engage based on your driving habits, IE if you floor it OR go over a certain RPM Vtec will engage.

with V-AFC it will engage based on rpm, throttle position or intake pressure ..... whichever sets it off first.
