[ul][*]TSB #07162005 -- IF THE BLK/YEL WIRE IS SHORTED TO GROUND AT THE REAR OF THE NON ULEV ALTERNATOR, THE ECM/PCM MAY RETAIN DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE P1298, P0141, P0135, P0753 OR P1753 AND THE NUMBER 6 FUSE IN THE DRIVER'S UNDERDASH FUSE/RELAY BOX MAY BLOW INTE (NHTSA ID #10018077, JULY 16 2005)[/ul]dono, maybe it's the short in the wiring i.e. past the alternator.. Did you recently do anything to the electrical system? was it recently in the fender-bender? Did you clear the old code after installing new alternator?

yeah, check fuse 6 in the drivers underdash fuse box. if it's blown, check the alternator wiring near the alternator for the short to ground. isolate and repair the damaged wiring and replace the fuse.

true, it usually is easier said than done. but it usually rubs through the isulation near the alternator. between the alternator and the p.s. bracket that holds the harness.
