Default Accord won't start

Hello all, I am working on a 2001 v6 coupe. The car was crashed in the front(hood, radiator, right headlight, condenser, rad support). Well I tried to start it to put it on the trailer, but it would not-just cranks over. I winched it up, got it back to the shop stripped off all the damaged parts and it will not start-nothing looks damaged that would keep it from starting. On stater fluid it tries to start, or kind of starts up for a split second. Do these cars have an inertia switch like the old Ford cars that kills the fuel pump when crashed so as to not add fuel to the fire(sort of so to speak)? Or any other ideas? Thanks bob

Default RE: Accord won't start

Just for clarification, there is spark and it does crank ..... this is a no fuel or wrong mix of fuel issue.

IDK about the inertia switch thing on a Honda ..... I do know what you mean about the old Ford's. I had a buddy that got rear ended in a Couger and couldn't drive the car away even though his car only took a scratch. I'd suggest that you look through deserthonda's DIY section for "no fuel" problems and start with some diagnostics. At first, when I was reading your post, I was thinking that the coil may be fried, but if it will spark the starter fluid, that's not it (or at least it's not the major problem .... could still have coil problems, or any electric for that matter ..... depends on how deep the car was flooded.) After you test for power at the fuel pump, let us know what you find. Good luck!!!
