Default Adhesive for moisture shield inside door

Hi all, I’m getting ready to replace the window regulator on my accord. Now I’ve seen videos that suggest if you peel back the plastic shield carefully you can just re-attach it again using the existing adhesive left behind, but something tells me it’s not that simple, so I need to know if the adhesive isn’t reusable what type of adhesive do I need to re-attach the shield? Thanks in advance for your help.

The stuff Honda uses is door panel shield adhesive, Honda part number: 08712-000. But butyl tape and other adhesives would work.
