Default Advise on downsizing 19" rims on Touring 2017

I would like to downsize my 19" to 17" rims because I am old and don't like the stiffer ride. Car is 1 month old.

Any advise if it's doable? Will it really feel smoother? How much would the whole package run me and is there any value to the 19" rims.

What sized rims are stock on the 2017 Accord?

TireRack lists 17" as a "-2" fit for the sport version (18" is "-1" fit). So I guess that'll fit OK with the brakes. For example that's what someone might do for winter tires.

I remember noting to a Honda dealer (way back when I bought my last Accord) that I wasn't sure I would want the larger rims in a higher level model for just the reasons you note. He said that they would swap them for those from a lower model since there would be lots of people who would love to get the larger rims on those models. You might ask. Or at least let the salespeople know that you'd do this swap.
