Default AEM INTAKE

Hey all...just installed an AEM Cold Air Intake on my 01 Accord V6. Took it for a spin shortly after and the TCS & Check Engine lights came on, and the RPM gauge tops out at about 3500 RPMS (almost like there is a limiter on it) anyone ever heard of this or have any ideas where to start??

Reset your ecu. Either pull the "backup/radio" underhood fuse, or disconnect the battery. When you crank the car, do not drive off and do not give it any gas untill the car has completely warmed up. Your car needs to re-learn the computer settings with the CAI attached.

Thanks I will try that out. I have reset the ecu, and then drove off, so i will try what you reccomend. Are you saying let it idle until it is warmed up and then drive?? Do you think it might be the intake air temperature sensor?

Let the car completely warm up before giving it any gas or anything. Just turn the key till it cranks, and do not touch anything. I would let it run at least until it warms up to operating temp (temp gauge needle about halfway below the middle and cold on my Hondas). Usually it takes a good ten minutes of idling to completely warm up.
I'm not sure what the problem could be. You would have to get the codes read for that.

Rev limiter at 3500 RPM sounds a lot like "limp" mode to me. Resetting the ECU is a good idea.
