airbag light

2004 LX coupe. lately when I turn on car like normal the red airbag light is on. I'll stop the car, put in park, turn off radio and AC, turn off ignition, then restart and the light is gone. what's going on?

Defective slip ring in the steering wheel could be the problem. Contacts are wearing out and displaying a fault. Could also be a sensor problem somewhere!

Look up how to pull the codes, then figure it out from there .... finch has a search that you can use in his signature ..... he's on the top 10 list to the right.
