A little more info would be helpful; cranks and won't idle?
Won't crank ?
You have of course rechecked the connections at the Alt.?
The reason the Alt was replaced?

Come on give us a bone to gnaw on

Well I'm guessing that no more info is going to be posted ??
You bought a Reman Alt?
Take it back and exchange it.

Check connections. Key to "II" lights are good....go to start and it all goes wrong? Either the battery is weak, replaced alt so charge has to be down unless you've been charging while doing the work, or the connections are not tight and or dirty.

When you turn the key what happens? Does the starter do its job by spinning the engine? Is the battery fully charged?

You have to provide us with some information, so we can give you suggestions to narrow it down.

Default Thanks for feed back

Hey you guys,
Thanks for all the feed back. out of town all last week.
I still have the problem.
so, i checked battery, alternater , ( old one) at the store.
and checked for bad ground all ok,.I only have to nudge the
car and it sets off the low beams, and the P R N D panel
flashes at the same time .The alarm does not go off.
It sounded like the alternater was whirring loud like a bearing . .(reason for changing)......
:PS could it be the belt tensioner wheel making the noise?
THANKS AGAIN
