Default Alternator

Bought this 2000 Accord V6 with a recent engine change.... car starts & runs but alternator is not charging... we have checked all connections & fuses but no luck... dash lights on (battery light, light saying all 4 doors are open, truck open & brake light) when pressing the accelerator the warning lights on the dash start to flicker around 2500 rpm then around 2700 rpm the lights on the dash go out as if the charging system is operating... any suggestions???

Get the alternator tested. It might not be charging at lower RPM because of worn brushes or something easy to fix.

Is the CEL on? Even if not have it checked for codes.

Do you have a volt meter to do some tests?

I know this sounds dumb but check the belt tension as belt slip could happen at lower rpms and cause no charging.

Also (ive said it before and will say it again) Check all your grounds! A bad/loose/corroded ground will reek havoc on a system and cause all kinds of strange issues.
