Default Annoying door sqeak

Ok, this is silly but its really bugging me. My right passenger door makes a annoying sqeak at high speads. It sounds like its coming from the latch. I treated the latch and catchwith a aresol grease recommended by autozone which helped for about 1 mile then the sqeak returned. Any ideas how I can get rid of thenoise?

Use household oil .... WD-40 isn't a grease and an aerosol grease might not get into the parts well enough. If I were you, I'd spray down the latch with silicone spray, then add a couple drops of household oil.

Or smear some real grease in there like brake grease or something...

I don't think that would help more than spray grease .... the liquid can get between the metal parts.

The thicker grease will last longer.

That's true, but if it doesn't get rid of the noise, it can last forever and still be worse. Best would probably be 3 steps: silicone spray, liquid oil, heavy grease.

That way, over time the thick grease will wear into the parts and will protect the part for a long time.

I have some household oil and will try putting a few drops of that into the latch and catch. The dealership also recommended that I spray some of the silicon into the window track when the window is down. Is this a good idea? I saw a similar recommendation when I searched the forum, I think it was you folklore.

Silicone in the window tracks will help with slow or sticky moving windows. I do it along with all weather seals. On the door seals, the silicone prevents the door from freezing closed which can wear the seals. Silicone spray wipes off of the glass and door jambs easily as well.

Well, I didnt have any silicone but I did have a can of Lithium grease so I used that instead. I put way to much in the track so I spent the next 20 minutes wiping it out. The stuff is white and shows on the windows whenI roll them down and up but that should decrease in time. But the good news is so far no sqeaks! Is silicone grease clear? if so I will have to get some of that for future use.

Ok so the squeaks are back. I went and bought a can of silicone grease and sprayed all the doors rubber stripping and the latches with no effect. So to recap, I have treated the latches with lithium and silicone grease, and the window track with lithium grease (should have used silicone, made a mess). Any ideas on the fix? I think the sound is coming from the catch and latch but my wife thinks its something inside the door. Thing is driving me nuts!
