Another clicking issue...
..but it's different than the others.
I have a 1996 Honda Accord EX coup.
This problem goes away and comes back and i'm not sure why, but it is back again! What happens, is at any given time, a clicking noise happens that sounds like it's coming from around the passenger side airbag/glove compartment area. When this happens, 2 other things happen at simultaneously. The ABS light comes on for a few seconds AND the spedometer drops to 0 and back to its actual speed again. All of these 3 things happen at once, every once in a while, whether i'm idling, driving on the freeway, or driving around the streets. Anyone ever heard of this?
Thanks,
Sandy

I-4 (inline 4 cylinder).
Anyways..... does the engine miss or shudder when the click happens? Or does the speedo drop to zero and back up again with no change in the engine performance?

Sounds to me like a coil problem (but further diagnostics are needed to be certain). V-4's are only on motorcycles. As mentioned, Honda's use either a V-6 or an inline 4. Both the 4 and the 6 can have VTEC.

Since your ABS light came on, you should check for error codes on the ABS, ECU, and TCU. Go to this link: http://www.dhost.info/accordinfo/howto/cel.html and follow the instructions.
The check engine light and D4 light should blink codes that are one number. A long blink =10, short =1. The ABS gives codes that are one number then a sub-number. Like 1-2, 1-3, etc. You might have to turn the key to the II position a couple of times to read all of the codes from the different lights.
Post the codes on here and we can help pinpoint the problem.

oh i see thank you, than it is an inline-4, it is also manual.
yes there is definitely an engine shudder but not when im going fast on the freeway from what i recall.. it happens more when im like idling or going really slow, like it sounds like the car wants to shut off... and all the lights go dim too, but it's never actually shut off before.
what's wierd is that this was happening like a year ago and then just stopped.. my dad told me to try putting some fuel injector cleaner in it so i did many times, but i dont know if that's why it actually stopped. Another thing is i've stopped driving my car much since i work at home but still take it out at least once a week, don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I think a coil problem would cause an engine miss or engine shut off.
Are you certain the click is coming from inside the car and not in the engine compartment?
