Default ATF Change via power bleeder/vacuum pump

Has anyone been successful in using a power bleeder to change the atf via the dipstick tube vs. using the drain plug?

97 Accord LX 2.2L non-vtec.

Thanks.

Other than dealing with a stripped trans plug threads I don't see why you would use a vacuum pump. If the threads are intact and there are no wierd issues with the trans it would be easier to just pull the trans drain.
