Hi,
Did anyone tried to install an auto dimming mirrror? How much time it took? Was it easy?

If it's the style that requires a power lead it's going to take about 15 minutes - 2 hours depending on your level of profeciency with wiring. If there's no wires to install you could have it done in like 5 minutes. This is all of course a generalized answer since I don't know what you'd be putting it in....
LOL .... that would be cool if they were powered by a photovoltaic via the light that you want to dim ..... or on the windshield side to charge a battery during the day.

I found last night some cool clip-on auto dimming at www.alphamirrordirect.com, it works on battries.
Did anyone tried them?

in what vehicle? i did the factory one in my v6. took 15 minutes cause there was a connector in the roof for it. se and below trim lines require running wiring a ways, and would take longer.
am I the only one that noticed this guy put a link to that website in every single one of his posts?
sounds vaugely like a spammer to me, but no real abuse so far.
you might have some luck tapping into the power behind the circuits for the light bulbs above the seats.
