Recently purchased a 2001 Honda Accord Coupe knowing that an axle boot was leaking or maybe the inner seal going to the transmission with owner who purchased it new it has 89000 miles on it my friend drove it home from Brick Nj to Westville Nj which is like 1.5 to 2 hours away. Hod no problems at all whatsoever. Started to refresh everything like oil change air filter and so on made appointment for axles to get fixed and he had it for 3 days?? He put in aftermarket seals then Honda seals tried to go the easy route all is good but it still leaks he said it has to much play. I need a new transmission I live in south Jersey can someone please help me 🙏

 

Was the transmission leaking and did the axles have excessive play before the work was done?
