Default AVP Valve stuck

Now I am not a novice when it comes to cars but Iam when they are not older ones. My wife has a 2008 Honda Accord LX and the code shows it has a "EVAP canister vent valve stuck Closed" Can you help me on what to do. I have read that the vent tube can be clogged by spiders and do understand what it is but any asistance would be greatly appreciated. Pictures help also.

If the trouble code is DTC P2422 (EVAP canister vent shut valve close malfunction), then this is the service bulletin.
