bad diode on alternator

Question bad diode on alternator

is this a replaceable part?
does anyone have any experience with these?

You might have to hunt for it at electrical supply places. Somewhere that an alternator-rebuild-shop would buy their parts from.

It's part of the recifier assembly #14 but Majestic's site says that "may be discontinued"...

i had no idea what a diode was...

there are a couple alternator repair shops in my area, i will see if they will sell me one.
