Hi guys, i recently had a mechanic tell me the motor mounts on my 2004 accord 4 cyl(143,000 miles) were going bad, specifically the front hydraulic and fan belt side. He continued to show me by holding the breaks and revving the engine in drive. The engine did seem to move around alot. My question is that would bad motor mounts cause 1st and 2nd gear shifts on my auto trans to jerk somewhat or is that an unrelated issue.

 

i wouldnt think that bad motor mounts would cause ur trans to jerk, how many times does ur D4 light flash when u start it up?
