Smile Bad shaking

Hey, new guy here. I recently acquired a 1990 Accord, EX. A/T, from my Grandfather.

There's a problem with it though. Well, a few. Replaced the main relay on it... that fixed one of the problems. But I've noticed a very bad shaking when I'm idling. This shaking gets noticeably worse with the AC on. When you accelerate and get up to higher speeds, the shaking is very minimal. If not gone altogether.

I'm not exactly mechanically savvy, so... be gentle with my brain.

I've been told it could be several different things. From a ball joint, to a motor mount. Taking it in for a wheel alignment soon too.

Anyone have any suggestions, or tips that might help?

Could be spark or fuel related ? Any body did a tune up in it yet ? Since the shake happens on idle, which you can rule out the ball joint or alignment and maybe...motor mount. Bad mount will make hard shifts, or harsh engagement when you put it in gear.

Motor mount, eh...? I'll check that out.
No, I haven't taken it in for a tuneup yet. I plan to do that, get the spark plugs changed, new tires, wheel alignment, etc... It's fairly old.

Since it shakes while idling (car not moving) then that rules out stuff like balljoints, wheel-balance, alignment, etc. Especially since the shaking mostly goes away when moving faster.

How about balance-shaft timing? Is it due for a timing-belt job?

I have a shakey idle as well, and hard to put in d4 from park,
its push the button and tug tug tug ok in gear... well that was yesterday
now easier for some reason. I think my prob is mounts . I have a 91 accord.
