Default Bad starter?

I noticed the engine was turning slowly when starting. Figured the battery was going so I had it tested. Battery tested good. cleaned the terminals, and still the same. It will turn slowly the first couple revolutions, then spin normally. I thought starters either worked, or didn't work at all, but don't really know. Should I remove the starter and have it tested?

There are few ways for the starter to fail on a car. Some parts stores can test the starter on the car.

I remember I had my battery tested at O'Reilys and they said the starter failed due to not drawing enough amps. Even though my car starter was working properly, the starter was showing signs of a bad solenoid within 6 months.

I think I'll check O'Reillys in the morning. Thanks.

Had the starter, alternator, and battery tested, and was told the starter and alternator are just fine, but the battery was low. Charged the battery, and it starts pretty good again, for now at least. We'll see how long it lasts. Thanks again, I was about to pull the starter, because the last guy said the battery was good.

Maybe "the last guy" tested the battery with a simple voltmeter, without a load.
