Default Balancer belt removal for more power

I have a 93 H22A1 engine that I have been setting up for my 92 Accord LX. From a magazine I was reading you can remove the balancer belt for more power. On my engine, is that safe. I know some H22's the oil pump runs off the balancer belt and some off the crank. Does anyone know from what year H22's this is safe to do.

I can't remember if the oil pump runs off it, sorry.

I thought I read somewhere that the balance belt canceled harmonic vibrations that would actually damage the crank bearings and such if they were present. I'm not sure though, maybe it was a dream...

yes I have some strange dreams.

dont remove the balancer belt. you wont get any more power and your oil pump wont work. you want power, get a turbo. dont mess up the engine trying to get 1 more hp

Anything that has to do with your engine drive belts is not worth it. You won't get that much HP out of it but you will be inconvinienced. For most street cars, you want to find a way to make more power, not find ways to save it.
