Default Banging sound in changing to gear one

Hello to you all in HAF, my accord at times gives a banging sound in downshifting to gear 1, is there any mount holding the automatic transmission in place that is faulty that need replacing. i hope this banging sound will not result to future damage to the automatic transmission. honda accord 1998 model, 4cylinder, auto trans., 2.3 Lx. Secondly the remote key is not working and i notice that the Led light doesn't flash when any of the button is pressed. i have changed the battery but the problem still persist. My question is can it be repaired or is it better to get another one?. i bought the car in January 2012 and is still in good condition till now. is a V- tech engine and i don't know how many years it will last. Hope to hear from you guys soon thanks and remain bless- DR. RIDLEY (from Nigeria)

There is a transmission mount that you can inspect. Also inspect the motor mounts. Hopefully this isn't an internal noise from the transmission.

If the remote will not lite up, then you can take a look at the solder where the battery contacts meet the board for damage.
