2005 Accord LX with 24K miles.
Dead battery at lease thats whatI thought, son batteryjumped the car ,started fine butafter 5 miles of driving it completely died nothing on the instrument panel,no lights.
Now thinking alternator,jumped again but this time keeping the jumper cables on for 5
minutes thinking charge up the battery more till I get it home home, 9 miles. Made it home..

Wiil call the Honda dealer on Monday. Meanwhile what do you think it is?
Am I covered for this since the milage is so low ?
Do I have to pay to have this cartowed/carried to the dealer?

I did smell a plastic like smell earlier in the day, does that mean anything?

 

Sounds like alternator to me, because it wouldn't keep the battery charged.

Seems to me that would be covered by your 3yr/36kmiwarranty, but that's a good question to ask the dealer when you make the appointment.

Plastic burning smell probably means something, but if it's under warranty I'd simply tell them about it & let them deal with it.
