Default Best Automatic Transmission Fluid

My 2000 Honda Accord LXi 2.3L 4cyl needs a transmission fluid flush and I was wanting to have some recommendations on transmission fluid. I was looking more at Castrol ATF DEX III as it is only $37.49 for four litres (4.22 quarts) compared to Honda's DW-1 costing $85.09 for three litres (3.17 quarts). I am willing to spend more to get a higher quality transmission fluid for a worn transmission with high kilometres of 200,000 (125,000 miles). Your recommendations will be much appreciated

If you were in the US I's be all over the DW-1.

Since you are not in the US, I'm not sure if the same applies. I think you, or someone, posted that the owners manual in New Zealand stated Dex Fluid.

OMG logannz.....they're charging you THAT MUCH for DW-1 in New Zealand?! It's like 8.79/qt here in Texas, US. Not cool

Yeah, it's really expensive! I was looking at getting it shipped over here but shipping will probably cost a lot then customs might not let it into the country

Yes. I had same shipping thoughts, and they would most likely not allow it to be shipped via air, so that nixes that idea. Good Luck!
