I am wondering what I can do to save on fuel these days. what can I do to my car without hurting to provide better gas mileage.

 

Tune-Up (what kind of car & year??)
- how old are the spark plugs?
- how old are the distributor cap, rotor, plug wires?
- adjust spark timing to spec (if it's adjustable).
- how old is your air filter?
- how old is your tranny fluid?
- - (auto tranny with bad fluid, shifting poorly, etc...)
- correct air pressure in your tires
- suspension alignment

But the most effective thing BY FAR is how well you control your right foot.

 

do not drive with windows open
remove all the extra weight from the trunk..
