yea you dont need a big brake kit. and if you keep it stock you can put a spare on if you blow out a tire. just put drilled rotors front and back with good pads like EBC. you will stop real fast.

ebay has this kit by a manufacturer, used to be called aem, now they changed the name on their brake parts to something else. you can search under '97 accord big break. pretty much what it is, is a 2 inch bigger front rotors with special adapters. they'll work with a stock calliper too. just make sure if you get it change the break pad to ceramic or better. the kit is about 400 bucks. my friend actually managed to find a tenzo one like that for 300, but i haven't seen any lately.

Just a warning... Cermaic Pads don't grip for $#!^ until they reach a very high temperature, Not usually a good daily driver pad (if it's a true ceramic pad...), Other than that I'm not 100% sure on what to go with as far as brands but the suggestion of getting a brake setup from a different year with new rotars and pads sounds good to me.... My opinion on a big brake kit: If you are doing 25 mph with your stock brakes and you slam on the brakes do the tires lock up? If you're just doing daily driving then how are big brakes going to stop you more quickly? Locked up is locked up

i would recommend drilled rotors i dont really like the slotted ones that i have on my TL. doesnt matter what brand as long as they are machined well.

the only thing that worries me about drilled rotars is that i heard that they wear pads quicker and tend to need to be replaced more frequently.

yea they do wear pads quicker. if you have a high performance system you should be worrying about pads though cause they only take about 30 min to change out. stopping distance is the main concern. stopping from 110+
