Default blown 2.2 F22B

Mechanic says I blew engine. Head and block are warped. He's checking specs on block to see if just the cylinder head can be replaced.
My question: Does anyone have experience putting in a used low mileage japanese engine or other replacement engine?

Thanks

Depending on the outcome-just the head or head and block.

Yes a used low milage engine is an option. You have to weigh the costs and go from there.

I have gotten a few engines from importers, and haven't had a good experience. Their "low mileage" claim is completely made up, they have no idea how many miles are actually on the engine.

And then its a roll of the dice if you get one in good working order or not.

I would say just go to the local junkyard and get a replacement f22 for $300 and they usually have a 90 day warranty.
