When i got my 89 Accord it ran. But the it had a power wire hooked in the batt. terminal, And caped with another power wire that ran to nothing. It needed a new battery anyway i just took out the battery out of my old chevy put it in the honda,Then i bought new terminals but i think i got the wrong ones they are little big but the head lights work. But now the car doesn't turn over no clicks or nothing. Think Anyone can help ?
Did you make sure that someone didn't reverse your wires on the old batter, I.E. Red wire running to ground black to power... also if your connections aren't secure to both your battery and your starter you could have some issues. Is the ground and Power wire connected securly with a good solid connection? Are you positive that the battery has a good charge?
when you put the key on do the dash lites come on >> ? oil lite, battery lite etc etc ..if not chk in the underhood fuse box for any blown main fuses,,,
if lite come on, chk to make sure all connections are clean and tight, chk to see if you get power at starter main wire, and also chk to see if you get power at starter solenoid when someone cranks the car ..
if no power at solenoid you could have a bad igniton switch,,
But do ther easy things first ,chk all the main fuses in the underhood fuse box

I had a situation like this once. My mechanic buddy of mine insisted I needed a new starter. The lights worked, radio came on, etc etc.
Turned out the battery just didn't have enough juice to even make the solenoid do it's thing. Wouldn't crank or anything. A brand new battery fixed it. If that battery has been sitting for a while, this could be the case. Good luck!
