Default Boyfriend hit a deer

Last night my boyfriend hit a deer with my newly purchased '97 honda accord. It was a little deer , so not much damage. Besides the hood, The drivers side head light needs replacing. In the manual it tells you to take the intake hose and the overflow(?) out and then you can access the head light. On my car the intake hose and the battery are on that side do i actually have to take both of them out. It seems like a major job for a simple task. Am I understanding the directions correctly. Help this novice please.

I know this is off the point a little bit but I'm wondering how did the deer and your boyfriend fair? I hope both got away with no injury's. I sure have lots of deer's out here where I live and they come out a lot in the fall season and a lot when it's raining. I came close last year to one. Hope it all turns out well for both and the repair cost is low.
