Default Brake Squeak...

I have had this brake squeak problem for a while now in the rear. Let me start by saying the rotors in the rear have been resurfaced twice so my next thought is to replace them. Before I do that I thought I would ask on here what you think.

The pads have plenty of thickness left, I pulled them out and checked. I have the squeak on both sides. I pulled the passenger rear pads and sprayed them down with brake cleaner as well as the caliper piston. I then applied caliper grease to the back of the pads and the face of the piston(where it presses on the back of the pad). This resolved the squeak on the right rear.

A few days later I got around to the driver side. Did the same procedure and it fixed the problem but after about 100 miles now the squeak is back. It is not a persistent squeal with pressure applied but more of a low pitch, quick succession of squeak - quiet - squeak - quiet.

What do you think? I was planning to wait until my front pads wear down and upgrade my rotors, pads, and fluid probably in spring next year but the squeak is annoying...

You might want to clean then grease the caliper pins.

If you want a temporary solution to get you into next spring, try beveling the leading edge of the pads.
