Default Brakes

For the last month or so my brakes have been squeeking when applied. Could they be getting "glazed over" or is there a sensor that their possibly low? The car (Accord) has 48,500 miles. It does stop it seems to be when just applied.

first thing you need to do is pull the wheels and do a visual inspection of the pads, sound like they may be worn down to the sensor tabs.

Its time for new brakes, in all likelihood. When brake pads are made they are designed such that when they have worn down to the point where they require attention they start to squeal. Its what they are supposed to do to warn you that its time for new pads, and probably turning your existing rotors or replacing them as well.
