Question help! '04 EX: break lights stay on

2004 Ex (about 110k miles)

I removed fuse. Break lights went off. I put the fuse back.
Saw broken break pedal stopper on the floor. I replaced the stopper. Problem remained.
I replaced break switch. Problem remained.
Also, Im unable to pull shifter out of park without using the override.

[edit, more info: I also just noticed the driver side back up light does not work at all.

I have very little automotive experience. What to do?

The brake light switch may need to be adjusted. See this video:

The driver's side back up light may be due to the bulb.

The following is for a sedan. The bulb is a 7440. Coupe is a different bulb. The back up bulb is in the trunk lid of the sedan. Replacing the bulb is the same as for the other bulbs in the fender, by turning the socket a quarter turn.
