I have a 96 accord lx sedan 4cyl. I had my engine replaced over a year ago. A week ago, my cam gear broke off. Now I'm faced with The decisionto either replace the broken part or invest in a rebuild as I don't know the history of the used engine. My objective is to ride til the wheels fall off!

What are your thoughts??

 

If the engine was running good before the failure, it's easy; rebuild or replace the head.

May as well change timing belts and water pump at same time.
